INFO SESSION - Youth Admin Trainee Expression of Interest

Are you aged 16-24 years old? Are you organised, and like to be busy? Want to get paid and learn?
 
Brotherhood of St Laurence Group Training is offering an information session for young people in starting a career in Business Administration.
Participants will be given a chance to learn more about how to earn money and gain a qualification at the same time in a traineeship.
We have multiple opportunities in the new year for young people aged 16-24 looking to enter the workforce!

These full time roles are 12 month admin based traineeships - perfect for anyone who is looking to learn on the job WHILE GETTING PAID! 
Upon completion you will also earn a Cert III in Business Administration - If you have already attained a Cert III in any vocation other than EAL you are unfortunately not elligble for these opportunities.

A brief description of your duties in these roles is below:
 
  • Perform a range of administrative tasks accurately and in a timely manner including reception duties including answering routine queries, taking messages, following up on action items also arranging meetings and agendas, photocopying and filing.
  • Perform computer-based tasks including preparing and sending standard written communications, maintaining databases and registers.
  • Communicate and liaise effectively with managers and staff to assist in the professional operation of the area.
  • Provide support in the collation and distribution of documents.
  • Simultaneously complete a Certificate III Business Administration.
  • Keep accurate and complete records of your work activities in accordance with legislative requirements and the department's records, information security and privacy policies and requirements.
  • Take reasonable care for your own health and safety and for that of others in the workplace by working in accordance with legislative requirements and the department's occupational health and safety (OHS) policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrate how the actions and outcomes of this role and work unit impact clients and the department’s ability to deliver, or facilitate the delivery of, effective support and services.
